Charaun (C.J) Goodwin is the President of PeGa, a community-based youth mentoring program based in Wheeling, WV. CJ is well-known as a devoted social entrepreneur, honored as a hometown hero, and given a Community Impact Award. His work has appeared in ESPN, Bleacher Report, WTOV, WTRF, WTAP, The Intelligencer.
CJ speaks nationally on the subject of youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship, closing the opportunity gap, and development through action sports. Prior to PeGa, CJ began his career as a professional athlete in the NFL, and is currently singed with the Dallas Cowboys.
Azhia is the Managing Director of PeGa, and she brings diverse experience in Law and representation to the organization. She believes in the transformative power of mentorship to inspire youth and promote success, and the essential role of education to improve lives. Azhia is finishing her law degree at the University of Duquesne School of Law and is an associate at Meyer Unkovic Scott law firm. Azhia earned her BA at the West Virginia University.
Azhia leads the cheerleading component of the annual PeGa Sports Camp and coordinates programs to expose youth to careers in the legal profession.

Chaundraya co-founded the PeGa Foundation alongside her brother, CJ Goodwin to continue to work of their late-father, Perry Galloway, Jr. Chaundraya's love for service and creativity has given rise to many of the hands-on activities within PeGa's youth programs. Chaundraya graduated with a BA in Physiology from West Virginia University and an MPH in Public Health.
Before working with the PeGa Foundation, Chaundraya wrote youth programs for other nonprofit foundations. Chaundraya currently works as a designer for Tilde Design Studio, works in product development and e-commerce.
JEFF JOHNSON, JR.
Toddy graduated from The Linsly School in 2019 with honors. He received his degree in Finacial Economics from Capital University while coaching middle school basketball. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Operation Excellence from Saint Vincent College. Toddy is also a Graduate Assistant for the Graduate and Continuing Education Academic Office and a member of the Men’s Basketball team.
Toddy exemplifies true mentorship and has been long admired as one of PeGa's most valued youth leaders.
Born & raised in East Wheeling and graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, Jeff began working for a mortgage company where he soon became a licensed loan officer & real estate agent. He earned a Vice President title and quickly strengthened the bank's quality program. This allowed him to relocate back to his hometown and begin to invest in his community. While relocating back to Wheeling he continued down his entrepreneurial path and purchased real estate, founded a business, and consulted for small start-ups.
DIRECTOR OF INITIATIVES
Born and raised in East Wheeling, DeMarr graduated from The Linsly School in 2009 with honors and went on to play football for Cornell University. After graduating from Cornell, DeMarr attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he graduated with honors. He went on to work as a Law Clerk to the Honorable John Preston Bailey, United States District Court judge, and he is currently an Associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in New York City.

Kelvin was born and raised in Wheeling, WV and graduated Wheeling Park High school class in 2011. He then went on to graduate from Point Park University. Kelvin is currently coaching basketball at The Linsly School and also owns and operates his own apparel company.

Bridget is an alumni cheerleader and dancer for the National Basketball Association’s Atlanta Hawks. Prior to her tenure with the Atlanta Hawks, she spent 2 years as an AFL cheerleader/dancer for the league’s Georgia Force. Having a strong passion for literature, she attended Georgia State University where she studied English with a concentration in Advanced Composition and Rhetoric. She is currently a corporate Human Resources professional with plans to ultimately lead her organization’s compliance department. As a mentor, Bridget shares the same philosophy as the late Randy Pausch (The Last Lecture) who once said “Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted. And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer”. Bridget hopes our youth will grow to understand that even in failure, there is valuable experience to gain and pass on to others.

Vondel is a native to Wheeling, WV, where he currently resides. Vondel graduated from Wheeling Park High school in 2011, where he played varsity basketball. A talented artist, Vondel is known for creating custom illustrations and hosting pop-up events for his clothing brand. Vondel works closely with the youth of PeGa to instill core values and inspire them to use their talents and passion for a purpose.
Ron Scott Jr. was born in Wheeling, WV. He graduated from Wheeling Park High School, attended Morehouse College in Atlanta GA., and eventually graduated from West Liberty University. He is The Cultural Diversity & Community Outreach Director for the Wheeling YWCA. He is a former President and Vice Pres dent of the Upper Ohio Valley NAACP & Vice Chairman of the Wheeling Human Rights Commission. He also is the founder of the Ohio Valley African American Students Association. He is heavily involved in the Wheeling art scene. He is the Performing Arts Chairman of the Wheeling Arts & Cultural Commission. He is led by his passion for creativity, love for his family, and belief in his community.
